Hi Peter - I have subscribed to Shadow Trade Focus News letter for last 6 months. I was newbie at that time and still do not trade very often but I subscribed to your news letter purely for educational purposes (NOT FOR DAILY TRADES OR ADVISORY SERVICES). I read Daily newsletter for last 6 months and I have learned much more than I would have learnt from those investor/financial educational institutions out there that sell courses for several thousands of $$$s. I specifically want to thank you for several things but following are the most important ones: 1. TOP-DOWN analysis looking for Relative Strength & Weakness. 2. Market Internals - Breadth, A/d Line and TRIN - Other than confirming indicators, the divergence between them and price action have really worked as leading indicators for me to predict the next move of market. 3. Answering my question and special thanks to Rick who diligently replied to all my emails and being patient to answer my extreme high volume of questions at times. I lost some money because of stupid trades that I made in the beginning and still have not recovered from the shock of those losses and hence not getting confidence as I am afraid to lose more money. BUT I am sure I will get over this and start trading more actively as professional trader for living and learning from your newsletter and weekly videos is helping me gain that confidence. Brad, Thanks for the "peace" of mind commentary the past week, and every week for that matter. I just wanted to say that even with the wild swings it has been crazy that my basically delta neutral portfolio has been averaging an overall 1% or more gain almost every single day for the past two weeks. It has taken some real cay-hone-aes to sell into strength and buy into weakness but with your pivot analysis, it makes it much easier to pull the trigger. Market gaps up yesterday, I make $. Brad, Thanks for pointing out LVS. I've been trading the indexes, mostly IWM, exclusively. Went short on LVS with a calendar on 7/1/08 and short call spread on 7/8/08. When the calendar hit its strikes three days ago I got out with 3% profit after commissions, got out of the short call vertical today with my 10% profit goal, both after commissions. Christopher M.

Peter, I have learned more this week about intra day trading than from very expensive materials. This has been a good learning experience as well as profitable one in a difficult market. I havent been able to catch the runs as well as I would like. I guess I have been too conservative on my stops, but grabbing 200-500 bucks isn't all that bad for a newbie. Guess I will settle for little gains while I am learning. Peter, Do you remember that advisory email I forwarded to you from Scott Synder on MLK, 1/21/08, reassuring the red option advisory subscribers not to panic and telling them what to expect based on his 20 some odd years of experience with those kinds of fast markets expected on 1/22? Well, that email was a really big help to me as a new trader with no experience of that kind. I stayed calm on Tuesday. and waited a few hours before i started blowing out of all my short put verts and rolling them. I ended up increasing my account by 7.89% for that cycle as a result of waiting and watching the internals. So that is exactly how I feel about today's focus report. I think it is your best ever and I've been reading them since day 1. You laid out your case for the technical setup and provided a well thought out plan well in advance that anyone who's been reading and listening can follow. This morning when you pointed out that LNN was taken out to the wood shed after earnings that it may be "Overdone" I bought at 100.85 and unloaded at 114.13! The 114.13 was just about the high for the day and the only way that I was able to do it was by watching the ES's and when they began to roll over some time around 12:00 I said good bye! Brad, I never paid REAL close attention to primary trend lines, and I never drew secondary trend lines. But dude, listening to you day in and day out, and watching how you draw TL's = man, it's rubbed off on me. Just like the author of that book you're reading says, you start watching for patterns and you start to recognize them. Now, when I start looking at a long or short position, I draw my R/S levels first, then the trend lines and watch for breakouts. That's how I made a boat load of cash on that CLF deal, remember? And then that tub full of money when I shorted COF after it broke trend to the downside. And now with SFD. But the one thing you've taught me that I never did before is SET YOUR F'ING ALERTS! :-) I can't tell you how many times that I might have forgot about a stock I was watching, and then......BONG! The alert shows up and I run to the charts. My bro, that one thing has got me into some trades that I would never have gotten into had it not been for your ragging on us about setting alerts! ShadowTraderPro, In yesterdays Focus Report you mentioned RICK as a potential long idea with a trigger price at 24.08 and stop and 22.82. Given the market today, it made perfect sense to me that RICK continues its "orderly low volume pullback". My question (I do have a question) is why you felt that there was some expectation that RICK might rebound sooner rather than later, and, why a trigger of 24.08? BTW, MA was a good call and a good money maker for me as a day trade. Thanks for the heads up; I never would have considered going long on anything remotely financial today without your report. (I also had a great day in the SKF; since I Shadowtrader in an IRA, I had to look for an alternative to shorting the SPY.) Brad, Just wanted to say thanks for all you do. Don't let these people who are unaccountable for their own trading get you down. How much hand holding are you expected to do? My trading has been the best since you took over at Shadow Trader and sharing your pivots. I now do my own homework and have come up with my own pivots. I was wondering if you could help me. I receive a newsletter and one of the charts they use is below. I would like to review the "Index Put/ Call ratio (Combined option volume from AMEX, CBOE, ISEC, PHLX, and Pacific Exchanges) on my own. This is located on the lower quarter of the chart. Brad, On Thursday you talked about unusual option activity on SPN. I watched it early Friday after earnings announcement and bought some 45 June calls at 45.75 on Friday. It is still climbing this morning. I closed the calls when it pulled back to $52.25. I may have sold early but I did not want to give anything back in this market. I captured $ 2.90 in the $45.00 Calls. Thanks for the heads up on this one. Keep up the good work. Brad, Once again, your resistance / support levels kept me in the green. I opened a small intraday position on XLF (bought some puts) and, while they did not hit my target, I got out when the SPY hit your support level for a small profit, as it looked to be bouncing. Good morning Brad Thanks for the support and resistance level info. This morning I used that info to buy back some ES futures I shorted at 1395 last Friday; I placed the buy orders to close the trade at 1380 (1 point above the resistance level you provided) and I got filled at 1380 I could have been greedier and placed the order at 1379 and it would have been filled!). Nice 15 point gain (x 10 mini contracts). I definitely owe you a drink...it pays to listen to the info you provide. Best, Alain

Peter, Thanks for the INTU. I have been fortunate to make some small amounts of dough listening to you. I do wish I put money into VPMH and GOL back a month or 2 ago. I kick myself for those. Brad, The market wasn't as "exited" as yesterday. I had some nice gains but considered letting them run. However, your verbal reminder and uneasiness reminded me how I was all long in the market. I didn't have any hedge or taken any profit. I "paid" myself and stepped aside for re-entry when the air was clearer or low risk was available. When you mentioned the news yesterday for bond insurers, I held a bit longer for additional gains. Thanks again for being the "on air" conscience for all listeners/traders. Peter, Couldn't you have twisted my arms and forced me to buy HANS and RMBS when you recommended it. I would have doubled my money. But I still thank you for X and SMDI. I did get $4 from X ($46.50 - $50.60) in 7 days and about $.8 ($4.57 - $5.45). So I still want to thank you for $1500 I gained in 7 days. The focus list is the new email crack but with good effects. Brad, Good morning. It is a GREAT day. 50 degrees and light rain. The flowers are starting to bloom and my grandson is here for a visit. I know it may not be an exciting BULL day on the market but we have to trade what the market gives us. It might be frustrating if you have long positions. BUT, like you said, if you are a premium seller, this is a great market. What I have learned from you and Peter is to take what the market gives you. Studying 2-6 hours per day, reading a ton of books, spending money on some high end programs, going to many- many seminars, belonging to trading study groups, subscribing to newsletters. I never believed that if I just did this one more thing (read a book, buy programs, attend a seminar) that I could just easily make all this money in the markets. I find Peter's advice to be tremendous. I work as a consultant and I am fairly busy during the day (6 am - 7 pm). I may trade a half dozen times a month and the volumes always vary. If any one doubts the value of Peters ST focus report just look at the call on GRPO two days ago. He said short at 50.33 it is now 46.97 that's about 3.60 of profit in two days not bad for a dollar a day. Another couple of years paid for. Kirk Johnson
